The videos may look calm for a few seconds… but I promise there is usually a kitten climbing my leg, someone stealing food, another demanding cuddles, and at least one tiny supervisor following me from room to room. 😂

From late-night snuggles and messy nursery cleanups to playful chaos and sweet sleepy moments, these are the little memories that make all the hard work worth it.

A small sneak peek into our everyday life with the kitties 🐾✨🫶🏽🥰

It starts like this… tiny babies being cradled upside down, kissed nonstop, carried around the house, snuggled under blankets, and handled from the very beginning ❤️

And therefore it ends like this… a confident, affectionate cat completely content being cuddled by a child like it’s the most natural thing in the world 🥹

Temperament does not happen by accident. So much of raising emotionally secure, loving cats comes from the countless tiny moments of trust, gentleness, and socialization poured into them day after day from birth.

This is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do ❤️

Oakley went home last week, marking the very last baby from our fall litter to leave the nursery 🥹❤️

While we miss this sweet boy dearly already, there is truly nothing more rewarding than knowing our babies are so deeply loved and spoiled by their families. Oakley is already settling into his new life exactly as we imagined — being treated like the little king that he is 👑

Huckleberry may not be one of our breeding cats, but he is one of the most special souls in this house ❤️

Every night without fail, he waits for me to come back and cuddle with him before bed. Seen here patiently waiting for his snuggles like the little mama’s boy he is 🥹

People often ask if special needs pets know they’re different, and honestly I don’t think they do. Huckleberry wakes up every day full of love, happiness, and trust. He reminds us constantly that animals don’t measure life by perfection — they measure it by comfort, safety, routine, and being loved.

He has taught us patience, compassion, and that some of the most imperfect little beings end up taking up the biggest space in your heart.

We love you endlessly, Huckleberry ❤️

Who requires more attention? Honestly… both. 🥹

Oakley will be leaving for his furever home this Thursday after we kept him back for observation from our fall/winter litter for our cattery program. Watching him grow has been such a joy, and saying goodbye never gets easier. He is truly one of the sweetest cuddle bugs and absolutely thrives on affection and attention.

Pumpkin remains under observation with us for now. If she does become available in the future, we will post an update. She is just as loving, chirpy, and attention-seeking as Oakley — always wanting to be involved in whatever we are doing and never far from our side.

Both of these babies have huge personalities, endless love to give, and require plenty of cuddles and companionship. We love them both so incredibly much and feel so thankful we’ve gotten this extra time with them. 🧡🤎

We are incredibly thankful for the overwhelming love, support, and interest in our babies. Because we keep our program intentionally small, hands-on, and family focused, we only accept a limited number of families at a time to ensure every kitten receives the individualized care, socialization, health monitoring, and love that Prim and Proper is known for.

At this time, we do not anticipate reopening the waitlist unless litter sizes permit additional availability.

A quiet favorite in our home—and for good reason.

Our little cuddle bug, gentle groomer of humans and fellow kitties, and ever-present helper for every chore… from litter box “supervision” to meal prep assistance and food taster/quality control department head 🐾
He has the kind of temperament we strive so intentionally to produce. Gentle, playful, affectionate, curious.

He is one very special boy, and we couldn’t be more proud of this little boy from this past winters litter. My hubby really struggled in deciding to let Oakley go and is our very last baby leaving after holding him back for cattery observation but ultimately deciding that now is not the perfect time for changing up the boy line up around here 🥰
