Union Lodge No. 7

As we look toward the Feast Day of St. John the Baptist, tomorrow, June 24th, we are reminded that light does not merely illuminate - it guides.
For centuries, Freemasons have looked to the Holy Saints John as exemplars of virtue and devotion. Their lives remind us that true greatness is not found in titles or accomplishments, but in our willingness to prepare the way for something greater than ourselves: truth over falsehood, unity over division, and service over self-interest.
As we reflect upon this St. John’s Day, I am drawn to the themes that have guided Union Lodge No. 7 this year: Communication and Community.
Communication is more than speaking; it is listening with patience, understanding with empathy, and engaging one another with respect.
Community is more than gathering; it is the deliberate act of building connections that endure through life’s triumphs and trials.
In a world that often encourages us to speak past one another, the teachings of St. John challenge us to become builders - builders of understanding, builders of fellowship, and builders of a stronger society. Every kind word offered, every Brother encouraged, every hand extended in friendship becomes another stone laid in that noble work.
Though our Lodge may be dark for the summer, Masonry is never confined to the walls of a lodge room. It lives in our daily actions, our conversations, and our commitment to improving ourselves and the communities we serve.
May this St. John’s Day inspire each of us to be a light for others, to communicate with purpose, and to strengthen the bonds that unite us in Brotherhood.
For it is through meaningful communication that community is formed, and through community that we leave the world better than we found it.
Happy St. John’s Day - May it be a day of reflection and purpose.

Brethren and Friends of Union 7,
As we celebrate Father’s Day, we honor the fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, mentors, and father figures who have helped shape our lives through their guidance, sacrifice, and steadfast example.
This year, our Lodge has focused on the themes of Communication and Community. Fathers embody both. Through their words, they teach; through their actions, they lead; and through their presence, they help build the communities and families that sustain us. Whether offering encouragement in times of difficulty or sharing wisdom gained through experience, fathers remind us of the importance of listening, understanding, and supporting one another.
Today, we extend our thanks to all fathers and father figures who work tirelessly to strengthen their families and communities. May we also remember those fathers who are no longer with us, whose lessons and love continue to guide our steps.
On behalf of the officers and brethren of Union Lodge No. 7, we wish you a joyful and meaningful Father’s Day filled with family, fellowship, and cherished memories.
Fraternally,
Cris P. Advincula Jr.

Last night, a few Brothers of Union Lodge No. 7 had the pleasure of visiting our friends and Brethren at Central Lodge No. 6.
It was an evening filled with fellowship, laughter, and the strengthening of the bonds that unite us across lodge lines.
Thank you to the officers and members of Central 6 for their warm hospitality and for making us feel so welcome.
One of the great joys of Masonry is the opportunity to travel, meet new Brothers, reconnect with old friends, and experience the unique traditions of our fellow lodges.
We look forward to seeing many of you again soon.
Travel well. Visit often. Strengthen the Craft.
