Our Public Lands

Two of the largest elk herds in the world are located in Moffat County, Colorado. Those herds are the backbone of a thriving hunting tradition that supports local businesses, outfitters, guides, and rural communities.
But a massive oil and gas lease sale on June 16 threatens to disrupt all of that. We can meet our energy needs without sacrificing the wildlife and landscapes that sustain wildlife and rural economies.

Sen. Mike Lee is once again targeting public lands.
A senate committee just approved his amendment that would revoke the Roadless Rule, opening up forest areas to road construction that could destroy wildlife habitat and lead to more wildfires that put the lives of wildlife and people in jeopardy.

Advocacy works. Major oil and gas companies listened. 🐻❄️
Thank you for speaking out against oil and gas drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. These companies know that there’s no good reason to threaten wildlife and Indigenous People by drilling in this pristine habitat.

We applaud the major oil and gas companies for declining to bid on drilling leases in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.
Unfortunately, the smaller companies that DID place bids are recklessly endangering wildlife and the Gwich’in People, while not doing anything to lower gas prices for Americans.
There’s still time to tell oil and gas companies to stay out of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge! 🚫
Tell them not to bid on drilling leases during Friday’s sale.
The Arctic is for wildlife and people, not oil rigs. 🐻❄️🫎🌲
The 19-million acre Arctic National Wildlife Refuge is considered the “crown jewel” of wildlife refuges, but it is now under threat from oil and gas development. This home to polar bears, caribou, and musk ox is no place for drilling. 🚫
Tell oil and gas companies to boycott the lease sale on June 5.
