Batman's Ordinary Adventures

In honor of the Dark Knight's 85th anniversary since his debut in 1939’s Detective Comics #27, Batman is getting his very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame! 🦇⭐️

On Thursday, September 26, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce will unveil the 2,790th star, marking Batman as the first-ever superhero to receive this honor in the Motion Pictures category. Fittingly, his star will be placed next to the legendary Adam West (TV's Batman, 1928–2017) and Bob Kane (Batman co-creator, 1915–1998).

To make this even more special, DC's president, publisher, and chief creative officer Jim Lee will be present as Batman is awarded a Guinness World Record for being the first superhero with a Walk of Fame star. Michael Empric, an official GWR adjudicator, will do the honors in a special ceremony.

But that’s not all! Funko and WB Archives are teaming up for an all-day fan event at Funko Hollywood (6201 Hollywood Blvd., LA). On the 26th, you can enjoy a one-hour signing with Jim Lee (limited to the first 100 Gothamites who snagged a wristband by purchasing Batman merchandise at Funko Hollywood on Sept. 24). Plus, check out a curated pop-up museum showcasing iconic costumes and props from Batman’s cinematic and TV history.
