A little bit about our feature:

TJ Simba-Medel is the son of Joy and Tito. Grandson of Mila and Tom Simba and Dr. Paz Lutz and Congressional Gold Medal Reciepient Colonel Armando Medel of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. Decendent of the Gomezclan in Pasay (pah-sigh) and royal blood of the Marawi (Ma-rah-wee) in Mindinao (min-din-now) of tue Philippines.

As an award winning international poet. His credits include:

2006 New Jersey Youth Slam Team for HBO’s Brave New Voices
2008 New York Knicks Poetry Slam Top 10 Finalist at Madison Square Garden.
2009 Southern Fried Individual Slam Champion
2010 Nuyorican Poets Cafe Slam Champion
2018 Producer of the National Poetry Slam in Chicago
2022 Katipunana (kah-tee-poo-nan) Slam Champion of Historic Filipinotown in Los Angeles
2023 New Orleans Cresent City Slam Champion

As an international award winning comedian, he is a Second City Bob Curry Fellow and holds stand-up credits in NBC Breakout Comedy Festivals, CBS’s Diversity Showcases, and National and International Improv Festivals. His television credits include EMPIRE (FOX) and CNNPhilippines.
