On April 18th, 2026 I accomplished something I never thought I would do…I became an IRONMAN🏊🏼🚴🏼🏃🏻🏅

Best part of all is that my dad flew all the way from Ecuador to support me every step of the way from start to finish. So happy to have celebrated your birthday weekend together and have you receive me at the finish line to give me the finisher medal!

Huge thank you to and all the crew for supporting me from the moment I first considered doing a 70.3 triathlon in 2024 to taking the leap and racing the full 140.6 distance this year. I couldn’t have done it without y’all!!!🙌🏼

I also want to give an enormous shoutout to my beautiful partner for supporting me on this crazy ride. She witnessed the last months of training, pushed me to keep going even with a knee injury and stood by me on the course and thru the tracker the whole way during race day! You da best preciosa, thank you for all your support! TQM😘

After the race, I received so many messages from many friends and family that followed me that day supporting me from a distance. To all of you I also say thank you, I appreciate your kind messages of support and for believing in me even in my worst of doubts.

IRONMAN Texas was such a great race and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to take the chance of doing one!

P.S. M-dot tattoo was inspired by an amazing child artist who showcased her art at the last IM Arizona while supporting her dad. It was such a brief moment…I took a picture, she smiled back, and then left with her mom. The artist remains anonymous, which I think is part of the beauty of small moments like these: they are meant to be enjoyed to the fullest.
