Sensory Sensitive Adult

Do you have activities that can be fun sometimes and overload you others? Bowie 😻 has two favorite toys, the floppy fish, and the catnip kicker. We have to be carful to watch him when he plays because either one can quickly turn from happy and fun to overstimulated and scared. He will try and get out the excess energy by shaking his back, his leg, his tail, his pupils will get extra large so he can take in as much information about his surroundings, if that doesn’t make him feel safe then he’ll go into full fight, flight, or freeze. On a rare occasion he’ll do all three. He’ll get low and stop moving, hide under a chair, bite and claw at the air, and then run away to the bedroom where he’ll usually want to cool off alone nestled in a pile of blankets or sprawled out on the cold wood floor. This cat is so much like me it is scary. 🌻

Meet Bowie. 💝 The handsomest, sweetest, smartest, most loving boy I’ve ever met. He can’t get enough cuddles and purrs at least 50% of his day. He had a bit of a rough go in the last month, but now he’s learning this is his new home and I’d say based on his purring and lovings he’s a very happy boy indeed. 🌻

Do you have an end of week routine to wrap up one and set up the next? 🗓 I like to make sure the dishes are caught up and the house gets picked up so it feels fresh and breezy. 🌻
