Having sat on all sides of the casting desk, (as an actor, an agent, a casting director and a production manager) I know well the intricacies and pressures of the audition/acting/casting/producing process. I worked hard and succeeded in changing the landscape of casting in CO into a positive, equitable, supportive endeavor, encouraging talent to bring out their best performances. That’s a wrap! Last week the Sundance Institute Directors Lab finished up and I need to express my gratitude and appreciation. First, to the casting team and - you are such phenomenal humans and artists and your passion, enthusiasm, kindness and keen eye for talent are inspirational. Second, to all the actors who submitted to this project. I want you to know, I watched every single self tape. Every single monologue and reel. All of it. And I was once again reminded just how immense and beautiful and breathtakingly talented our Colorado acting community is. The talent pool here is deep and wide! You made the decisions both easy and difficult. Easy, because we knew we had plenty of options and people who could carry the weight. Difficult, because it was so hard to choose between those options!! Thank goodness I didn’t have to make the final decisions!!! Thank you directors for picking, because I simply could not! For those who were selected, you absolutely SLAYED!!!!! I loved watching your work and getting all the wonderful feedback!! Way to go, team! For those who were not selected, I took notes! Lots of notes! It’s wonderful to see some of you in new or different light, to see some of you stretch yourself and succeed, to see some new people I’ve not had the pleasure of meeting before and to see some people who always deliver. You all did beautiful work and I can’t wait to see you all shine in future projects!!! Thank you to everyone for an amazing project and process! It was truly wonderful!!! ❤️

Well what a lovely afternoon I just had. It was all because of this fabulous human!! Thank you for introducing me to the beautiful seniors you care for!!! Something I truly believe in and a major part of .casting is my commitment to the community. Today I got to honor that commitment by volunteering my time to talk with the residents of Balfour at Riverfront facility - which is a gorgeous home for independent, assisted and memory care living. We chatted about casting, acting, theatre, film, art and community. It was a magnificent time and I truly did not want it to end. Thank you thank you thank you for inviting me and sharing this experience.
