Our Building One team recently joined a hands-on Tyvek lunch-and-learn (Thanks !) focused on the latest installation best practices and detailing updates for building envelope systems. It's always valuable to stay current on manufacturer guidance and see new techniques up close and in the field. Plus, getting hands-on with mock-up installs is a fun way to reinforce what we review every day!

Check out the below article for more information of the groundbreaking of Chrysalis Apartments in the City Park West neighborhood of Denver. This development will offer 70 affordable homes for individuals experiencing chronic homelessness and those who have been involved in the criminal justice system. Chrysalis Apartments is designed for long-term success: trauma-informed design and wraparound services from The Empowerment Program will provide mental health care, substance use support, employment services, education, and more– all grounded in dignity and empowerment. Building One is the construction consultant performing the pre-construction plan review and monthly construction and draw monitoring.

The Village on Impala rehab in Fort Collins, Colorado is complete! This project included the rehabilitation of twelve (12) residential duplex buildings, totaling 24 units, and the construction of four (4) new residential buildings, inclusive of common use areas and 62 additional dwelling units. Overall, the project provides 86 affordable housing units to the City of Fort Collins. Building One provided the pre-construction plan and cost review and monthly construction monitoring.

The Sanctuary on Potomac development broke ground in May. This project includes the new construction of a 43-unit supportive housing residential facility for chronically homeless individuals located in Aurora, Colorado. The project is located within a larger development that includes infrastructure work and two (2) additional buildings covered under a separate scope; one is a mental health center, and the other is a health clinic.
