Addison Van De Walker

This is a small snippet from Minuet, the first song on "for Max".

Max is my younger brother. Both of the songs on my EP were written for him to be able to play on the piano. Max has a passion for music and I had an idea for his 11th birthday to start writing him a piece of music each year as a birthday present.

Minuet was written for Max's 12th birthday. Minuet is a soft, somber piece about a boy in school who is bullied. After being picked on for so long this boy has given up hope. One day, a gust of fairy dust sprinkles into his room. Magically, the boy grows a pair of wings and flies around his room. The next day at school, when the bullies approach the boy he reveals his wings and levitates off the ground. The bullies marvel at the sight and decide to respect him.
