April is Financial Literacy month, and WealthWave, the Financial Education division of my organization, just launched a huge study to see how financially literate the US is.

Here's the link Financial Literacy Quiz (https://financialliteracyindex.com/stevelavezza/quiz) which takes about five-to-ten minutes to complete. When you have a chance, please take the quiz for me. Can you get a higher score than your spouse, partner, brother, sister, mother, father, BFF? Challenge them and then GLOAT!

Additional Information about taking the quiz:

Once you finish the quiz, you will see your score and percentage achieved on the quiz. Please click the “Get Your Complete Results” button to see a more detailed view of your results. You will be taken to a page that asks you for your Demographic information. Please note that this information is anonymous. Answer the questions via the drop-down lists and click “Submit to View Your Results” to see how you compare.

Finally, do one of two things once you get to this “Your Financial Literacy Quiz Results“ page: 1.) Email me the results (your score and percentage) of how you did, and/or 2.) Click “Save Results as a PDF” to get a more detailed report. If you “Save Results as a PDF,” you will be asked for some basic information. Please know that you are not going to get spammed and your results are not reported by name. Adding the info simply allows you to download the detailed PDF of the results and lets me know that you completed the quiz.

Thanks for taking time to test your knowledge,

Did you know that April is Financial Literacy Month, and I wanted to share a few frightening statistics. I would have posted yesterday, but I didn't want you to think I was making an April Fools Joke.

First, Financial ILLITERACY is the biggest economic crisis in the world that impacts millions of people. Second, most Americans can't handle a $400 emergency. Maybe they should reconsider their monthly spending habits and consider channelling some of that money into an emergency fund for that unexpected expense.

As I look at these average monthly spending habits, I know some of these numbers are much higher for me. For example, Events at $30 -- I can't take my wife and daughter to a movie for $30, and I'm not including the popcorn.

Do you know where your money is going?

It's time to GET LIT... ..Financially LITerate that is.

Stay tuned for some tips, tricks, and helpful financial education.
