Urge the to vote NO on Paratransit Cuts at the upcoming 9/30 meeting.
Reject outright this shameful targeted fare increase, with singling out riders w/ disabilities for cuts while NOT giving the Board the info it needs to fix the broken Access-a-Ride service.

Tonight GDT has united with the disabled community against the sham of an RTD Paratransit review which only focused on cuts to the popular Access-on-Demand service and not the problematic Access-a-Ride.
Disabled people are facing AoD fare increases of up to $6.50 that will legitimately will jeopardize their ability to get to work.
RTD staff took over 6 months to reveal the existence and costs of a “WAV-on-Demand” service costing, $12-15M a year - which is now being used to double the cost of AoD.
And yet the barely usable AaR service, projected to cost $53.4M next year, remains virtually untouched. The fact that it is “Federally mandated” means only totally abolition should be off the table.
It’s time for RTD to do the job of a comprehensive Paratransit Peer Review properly instead of turning in this grade F work. And the Director’s should withhold their approval until it’s done.
Here’s our letter to the Board:
