Join us for a community conversation about what Burnham Yard development could mean for homeowners in La Alma / Lincoln Park and nearby neighborhoods. We’ll talk about speculative buyers and unsolicited offers, home repair challenges, property taxes, and what long-term stability could look like for the neighborhood.

We’re proud to partner with Councilmember Chris Hinds and animal welfare organizations on a pilot program providing pet deposit assistance for people living in or moving to Denver City Council District 10.

The program will offer a one-time $300 pet deposit to help up to 100 renters keep their pets and secure safe, stable housing. The goal is to remove one more financial barrier so tenants don’t have to choose between a home and keeping their pet.

Five years ago, CEDP started with a single Facebook post.

Today, we’re serving families in 58 counties, supporting mobile home communities, delivering millions in rental assistance, providing eviction legal defense, and advancing policies that protect people from displacement and economic abuse across Colorado.
But many of the protections our neighbors rely on are under threat and our work can’t slow down.

Join us this Colorado Gives Day by making a gift to protect housing stability across Colorado. 💛

US Renters Face Storm of Rising Costs 09/25/2025

According to research from Harvard's Joint Center for Housing Studies, "the portion of the country’s renters who face significant cost burdens has hit record levels — and the strain has moved up the income ladder."

Rent is far too expensive for many families, and costs keep climbing. Here in Colorado, we must continue to invest in housing stability services that will keep our neighbors housed if we want to see a decline in eviction rates across the state.

US Renters Face Storm of Rising Costs A building boom has helped slow rent increases. But affordable apartments remain scarce, and higher energy costs and cuts to housing aid further cloud the forecast.
