Designed by Bowers & Wilkins and famously used in mastering rooms around the world, the 801 S3 delivers scale, neutrality, and authority in a way few speakers can. This vintage floorstander has been fully recapped and refinished, with the woofers professionally reconed, bringing performance back to spec and then some. Mounted on proper Sound Anchor stands, they lock into the room with focus and control, delivering deep, articulate bass, an open and revealing midrange, and that unmistakable Matrix-cabinet clarity that lets recordings speak for themselves. The McIntosh MC2105 is one of the most beloved solid-state classics in the Mac lineup—those iconic blue meters, the glass faceplate, and a sound that defined an era of American hi-fi. Delivering 105 watts per channel with that unmistakable McIntosh smoothness, the MC2105 is known for its rich midrange, unfatiguing highs, and bass that’s warm, confident, and wonderfully musical.
This unit has been electronically restored, including the critical replacement of the large filter capacitors, giving it the stability, punch, and low-noise performance it deserves. With fresh power reserves and updated internals, it plays with greater authority, clarity, and ease—while retaining every bit of that classic Mac character.
