"It's sad that women are quick to dump or belittle their man when he goes broke but expect rich men to love them even if they are broke," beauty entrepreneur Mwende Frey has said.

She said that this habit has contributed to recent preferences by men.

"Men are also getting tired of dating broke women. Broke girls shouldn't say they want financially stable men to date. You are not looking for love. You are looking for a sponsor," Mwende argued.
