It’s been a couple weeks since I posted one of these… and that’s actually a good sign.

Last time I disappeared, I felt stuck.
This time it’s the opposite — I’ve been slammed with real work.

Music project that’s pushing me to learn new skills.
Finished a 10-track sync album.
Back with Sounds True.
Creative bootcamp.
TV this week for USA vs Japan.

And yeah… social media and even music took a backseat for a minute.

But I keep thinking about this idea:
Not everything is glass. Some things are plastic.

Some stuff you have to keep in the air.
Some stuff you can set down for a bit.

Right now I’m focused on deadlines, contracts, and the projects actually moving things forward.

And it’s starting to work…
I set a monthly income goal and I’m really close to locking that in.

Got a record label interview next week too 🤞

Curious—what’s “glass” for you right now?

Had to prove it…

Same beat, but this time I’m playing the chops live over the acapella.

Still sounds like it was made for Nas.

Boom bap heads know.

What song would you want played at your funeral?

I kept this sample instead of sending it to my Sample Flip Friday group… and it turned into something I’ve been thinking about for years.

A song you could update over time with everything you’d want to say.

This is the first one.

Funeral out now. Link in bio.

What song would you choose?

SAMPLE FLIP FRIDAY 140

Really like this sample but the drums where a little much to chop around. So I tried out Ableton 12s new stem separator.

The future is sweet.

I was looking for some drums to see which style to take this in and I found this kind of west coast drum loop. But then I figured I've been making a bunch of Larry June type beats, so I just pulled some drums off another beat I made last week. Layered the other drum break over top, tweaked the tempo and slapped this together.
