I have been struggling with posting about this moment all summer. My sweet baby girl has graduated and is ready to fly and while I know she is ready and will do great in her next adventure, I can’t help but grieve for myself and the end of an era. Having spent so much time of my married adult life in raising two smart, caring, talented young adults, I find myself at a precipice wondering what’s next. Change is hard as I know all too well. We will all be fine on the other side of this change but it doesn’t make it easy. We are navigating through this next era as empty nesters or as I prefer to call it “bird launchers” with the anxiety and exhilaration that comes with pursuing the unknown. We will be fine but need to remember to give our selves the grace to feel all the feels as we figure it out together.

You truly have had so many hats you have worn these last 17 years as a daughter, sister, friend, student, dancer, actress, model, singer, songwriter and the list goes on. I know you are going to have many more hats you wear as you get ready to go to college next year and beyond and can’t wait to see you continue to shine as you live your best life! Love you sweet girl!
