If you are to get these type of roaches, it does not necessarily mean you have a dirty home, like mentioned above, they thrive in warm, dark areas. But you still want to make sure you regularly clean your kitchen or any other room with food to remove potential food sources.

Reduce Moisture: Fix leaks and use dehumidifiers.
