Texas Woman's University Trombone Studio

Hi all! Thank you for all of your support during my years at TWU. As most of you know, I have moved on and am now teaching at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. This has caused some confusion, as I have had several students reach out to me about studying with me for college and did not realize I was no longer at TWU. Please come join us at SOSU! We'd love to have you!

I'll keep this page active as a reminder of the magnificent accomplishments the TWU trombone studio achieved while I was there. Thank you students! It was an absolute joy and privilage to work with you. I'm looking forward to the new adventures ahead but will always look back fondly on these times. Congratulations to Shae Cherry for completing her music therapy internship and becoming a fully licensed music therapist! Shae is such a warm and caring individual and it has been a pleasure working with her. She will undoubtedly enrich the lives of her clients during the course of her career.

Congratulations as well to Eric Lawson on his recent graduation from TWU and new appointment as assistant director of bands at Decatur ISD. His strong sense of musicianship will be an asset to every program he works with and wish him well on this new adventure!

Congratulations to TWU alum Clayton Yoshifuku for placing 1st in the IWBC military mock audition, 2nd in the category II solo competition, and 2nd in the orchestral mock audition. His quartet was also named the winner of the ensemble competition. Way to go!

It's very delayed but congratulations Ryan McIntyre on completing your master's recital!
