When did we start making it so hard for people to do business with us?
Technology is supposed to make things easier—not make customers feel like they need a password reset, a treasure map, and three deep breaths just to give us their money.
Every extra click, confusing form, broken link, hidden button, or clunky process sends a message. It says, "We didn’t think about you." And whether we mean to or not, that message can cost us not only revenue, but also trust and loyalty.
Great companies honor their customers by making the experience simple, clear, and human. They remove unnecessary friction. They anticipate needs. They ask, “What would make this easier for the person on the other side of the screen?”
Because customer service is not just what happens when something goes wrong. It is also what happens before the customer ever has to ask for help.
Make it easy for people to find you.
Make it easy for them to understand you.
Make it easy for them to buy from you.
Make it easy for them to come back.
That is not just good technology. That is honor in action.
Challenge: This week, walk through your own customer experience like you are brand new to your business. Find one place where technology makes things harder than it should be—and fix it.

“Business is about people.” - MAJC
And that is the message I bring into every room I speak in.
I believe leadership is not about titles, org charts, or having all the answers. It is about people—their stories, their strengths, their potential, and the kind of workplace they experience every day.
I have built businesses, led teams, made mistakes, and learned that stronger cultures are built through honor, humility, and honesty. When leaders learn to truly know their people, everything changes.

If your organization is ready for a leadership conversation that is practical, heartfelt, funny, and deeply needed, I would love to bring this message to your team. Invite me to speak, and let’s build a workplace where people are known, valued, challenged, and loved well enough to grow.

“Love something about everyone.” - MAJC
That sounds simple—until someone is difficult, defensive, different from you, or just plain hard to love.
But great leadership is not built on liking everyone equally. It is built on choosing to see people fully enough to find something worth honoring.
Because every person you lead brings more than a job title to the table. They bring a story, a set of strengths, a few rough edges, and the deep human need to be known, valued, and treated with dignity.
When leaders learn to love something about everyone, relationships change. Feedback becomes more honest. Conflict becomes more mature. Trust becomes more possible.
Challenge: This week, think of one person at work who is hard for you to understand, and look for one thing you can genuinely appreciate about them. Then let that change the way you lead them.
