This session Alabama lawmakers have introduced a dangerous slate of bills: HB316 would criminalize ordinary firearm storage, HB450 would allow police to demand ID to validate your right to carry, SB156 creates a abusive “red flag” confiscation scheme, and SB267 — the Thanos of anti-gun activists — would repeal Constitutional Carry. These measures undermine law-abiding citizens’ rights, expand government power to seize property without sufficient due process, and create new opportunities for abuse and profiling.
