PRINCIPLES AND INTEREST, GATEWAY TO UNUAFE'S VICTORY.

About six months ago, Oleh Community was deeply enmeshed in leadership turmoil. It was orchestrated primarily for the reason that, borrowed unconstitutional practices exhibited by the immediate past President General, Chief Believe Alakri, took the front burner in his winded up administration.

Various stakeholders with obvious exposure, intelligence and/or those whose interest for Community advancement outweighs those who navigate through parochial and narrow-minded intentions, that could not bear these strange practices came out to rescue Oleh from Egypt.

Regardless of the fact that the experience was tough, the team demonstrated capacity, will and common purpose to the fullest. We never relaxed on our oars until victory. Historically, it was clear that allowing these unconstitutional practices to thrive, means allowing wrong precedence, which are not in tandem with our ethos and culture as a people.

Consequently, to nip in the bud identified excesses, a team was swiftly instituted to surmount every plot, while testing the strategic street relevance of the . Talking frankly, releasing the baton was not easy on the ground that the State Government earlier misled later realized after stringent legal report from the Ministry of Justice, Asaba that truly, the tenure of Chief Believe Alakri expired 31st December 2023, and this automatically set, and as well renewed the wheel of justice on proper path for the records.

About 2 years ago, If not for God's intervention, I almost lost my life for an ingrate, who took away the ladder of generosity, teamwork, impeccable trust, passion for service, diligence, capacity and after climbing to the roof top became dictatorial. When you develop a sieved conscience, witch-hunting your great supporters, the resultant effect is always not friendly OR when your quest for power is at variance with divine order, and yet professed activities that negate moral standards, you fail and fall like a pack of card. In our local old adage; "When you throw the native pot into the well, you remove it yourself." Today, Saturday May 25, 2024, he is thrown out and all his unqualified sponsored stooges watched disgracefully from the leadership balcony.

The huge euphoria following the victory, in the election never subsided until we moved in a long convoy of cars and motorbikes to the Palace to see His Royal Majesty, A.W.O. Ovrawah, JP, FCAI, Odio Ologbo of Oleh kingdom for royal blessings. The intermittent drizzling of the rain in the evening was indicative of God's presence and blessings on the new executives cm Oleh Community.

No doubt, we owe allegiance to our Community as we shall, from time to time crossbreed ideas to enthrone sustainable growth. Don't forget, I am always influenced and driven by objectivity, yet, have absolute faith in our collective interest. It's true that, the milk in the mother's breast is not for advertisement, it's for the child." When you betray the trust reposed on you by the people, the last resort is to evict you and cohorts from the corridors of leadership. My street relevance and bargaining power again have been tried by fire and still valid.

Special thanks to the Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, Barr. Mrs. Pat. Ajudua, the Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Ovie Agas and the Director, Eyione-Ireyefoju (Mrs), the Special Adviser to the governor on Peace Building and Conflict Resolution, Chief Tony Uzor JP, Director General, Delta Security, who conducted a free and fair election and swore in the newly elected executive members. Indeed, your roles were significant and sincerely impeccable. We disagree to agree.

Finally, Congratulations, Mr. Believe Ezigboma Unuafe, the consummate banker and the tear rubber President General, Oleh Community Development Union (OCDU), who is versed with the millennium experience. Your victory was resounding with a convincing popular votes of 135 against Barr. Christopher Okpro (Alakri's candidate) who pulled 69. The difference was the peoples' verdict, and the margin was on the account of principles, interest, preference, personal conviction and acceptability. To whom God has shown mercy, no manipulations or legal intrigues can clog his mandate, because God rules in the affairs of men.
