Waterhemp doesn’t like iron. 🤨

While scouting soybeans, we found a few patches of waterhemp starting around the perimeter of this field. Since these are Plenish soybeans (Round up Ready), our post-emerge herbicide options were limited, especially at R1, so we had to go back to the old-school method—steel.

It’s been a long, long time since we’ve had to hook up the cultivator, but sometimes mechanical w**d control is still the best tool for the job - especially for small areas. We’ll keep monitoring the field over the next few weeks to make sure these escapes don’t get the chance to produce seed.
