At El Jardín in Little Havana, the landscape was envisioned as an extension of the architecture — a layered garden environment that reinforces the project’s sense of continuity, memory, and place. Working alongside Cure & Penabad, the design carefully mediates between street and dwelling through intimate courtyards, tropical planting, shaded pathways, and immersive garden moments that soften and enrich the experience of the historic structures.

Inspired by Miami’s architectural and cultural legacy, the landscape creates a calm civic foreground within the energy of Calle Ocho — demonstrating how thoughtful outdoor spaces can support adaptive reuse, strengthen neighborhood character, and shape a more connected urban experience.

Thoughtful arrival sequences — layered planting, framed views, and welcoming outdoor spaces — set the tone before you even step inside.
