Del-Trail Fire Rescue

Today, during our Heavy Rigging Crane Day for Structural Collapse Technician training, we honored Captain Joe Bartlett. Captain Bartlett was a longtime member of our and the families. Sadly, he died in August of this year.
Joe worked for PBCFR from 1981 to 2008 and was a fixture in the Urban Search and Rescue community. Before joining the fire service, he helped build the World Trade Center, and after 9/11, he was among those who responded to Ground Zero to assist in the aftermath.
Every Structural Collapse Tech class since our program began included Joe. This was our first one without him, but we knew he was there in spirit.
