Bethlehem Lutheran Church

The Community Hospice is grateful to the members of the talented quilting group at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Delmar who made 19 beautiful quilts to donate to our upcoming Camp Erin weekend bereavement camp to help children and teens who have lost a significant person in their lives.

Every September, Hospice hosts a weekend camp in the Adirondacks to offer kids ages 6-17 a safe, nurturing place to enjoy fun activities while also learning essential coping skills to deal with their feelings of loss. Facilitated by Hospice grief counselors, the camp also connects children with other kids their age who are going through the same thing so they know they are not alone.

Our heartfelt appreciation to the dedicated quilting group which has generously shared their compassion and skills for more than 30 years by making quilts for community organizations in need. The handcrafted quilts will provide comfort, warmth, and support to the children and teens in our program.
