Fort DuPont helped protect the Delaware River for decades. On Saturday, July 4, you can walk the same ground where coastal defense once stood.

Join Delaware State Parks for a Battery Hike at 6 p.m. and learn how Fort DuPont fit into a larger network designed to defend American waterways.

You’ll visit the Fort's historic batteries and learn the stories behind them. Wear waterproof shoes that can handle a little mud.
