Theodore (“Ted”) James Glenn, Jr., 73, of Del Rio, Texas, passed away on June 4, 2026.

Ted was born in Dallas, Texas, and raised in Farwell, Texas. After graduating from Washburn University, he joined the United States Air Force in 1977. His lifelong passion for aviation led him to a distinguished career as a fighter pilot, where he flew both the F-4 Phantom and the F-15 Eagle. Following his military service, Ted continued to share his love of flying by training and mentoring young aviators and providing simulator instruction at Laughlin Air Force Base for over 28 years.

An active member of the Del Rio community, Ted served as president of the Del Rio Dirt Flyers, a local radio-controlled aircraft club. He especially enjoyed traveling the country in their RV with his beloved wife, Gloria, and their two dogs.

Ted and Gloria shared 26 wonderful years of marriage. He is survived by his wife, Gloria; his son, Matt, and daughter-in-law, Anna; three grandchildren; his stepson, Wayne; two step-grandchildren; and his sisters, Sandra Kay Glenn and Deborah Ann Barcroft.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore Glenn, M.D., and Ann Marie Glenn.

Ted will be remembered for his love of aviation, his dedication to mentoring future pilots, and the devotion he showed to his family and friends throughout his life.

The memorial service will be held on Monday, June 15, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 2020 N. Bedell Ave., Del Rio, Texas. Services will conclude following the visitation.

Jose Salinas Tarin passed away peacefully at the age of 73, on May 25, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones at Baptist Hospital downtown San Antonio, Texas.

On February 27, 1953, Jose was born to the late Jesus Robles Tarin and Albertina Salinas Tarin in O’Donnell, Texas. He was the husband to Maria del Refugio Mendez Faustino. They were married on July 5, 2014. Together they shared 12 years of marriage. During his life, he served in the United States Army for 4 years. He was employed by Wal-Mart in Odessa, Texas as a building custodian. He enjoyed making people laugh with his corny jokes and fishing whenever he had a chance.

He was preceded in death by his parents Jesus Robles Tarin and Albertina Salinas Tarin. His sisters Rebecca T. and brother-in-law Gilbert Garcia, Maria Antonia T. and brother-in-law Jose Cordero, Esther Tarin Martinez, and numerous aunts and uncles.

Mr. Jose Salinas Tarin is survived by his spouse Maria; Sons Rene Westfall, Jose Jr., Peter, and Geronimo; Daughters Amor and Dora; Grandchildren Angel and Iroceni Tarin, Montez and Destiny Ross, Kyda and Eros Tarin, Gabriel, Haley, Anabella Tarin, Evan Pepperdine and Peter Jr. Brothers, Jesus Tarin Jr. and wife Paz, Pablo Tarin and wife Norma. Sisters Ramona Vick and husband Michael, brother-in-law Raymundo Martinez, and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026 from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM; followed by a memorial service at 12:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 2020 N. Bedell Ave., Del Rio, Texas,

Rolando Garza, age 63, entered into rest on Saturday, June 6, 2026 in Del Rio, Texas. He was born on October 23, 1962 in Amherst, Texas.

Rolando was preceded in death by his parents, Alma Charles Garza and Alberto Garza; his grandparents, Pablo Charles and Margarita Martinez Charles; and his uncle, Pablo Charles Jr. and wife, Evelyn.

He is survived by his siblings, Cynthia Acosta and husband Mike, Jo Ann Nanez and husband Juan, Larry Garza and wife Velma, and Leticia Bosquez and husband Jesse; his uncle, Rolando Charles and wife Alicia; as well as numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and other relatives who will cherish his memory.

The visitation will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:30 PM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 2020 N. Bedell Ave., Del Rio, Texas.

The visitation will continue on Friday, June 12, 2026, from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, followed by a Graveside service at 10:00 AM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 5144 Hwy 90 East, Del Rio, Texas.

Oscar Enrique Palao entered into eternal rest on Friday, June 5, 2026. He was born on September 23, 1967, in Ciudad Acuña, Coahuila, Mexico, to Oscar and Enriqueta Palao.

He is survived by his loving wife, Tara Valiquet; parents, Oscar and Enriqueta Palao; daughter, Serena Palao; brothers, Luis Alberto Palao (Laura), Cesar Alejandro Palao (Nellie), and Jose Francisco Palao (Maribel); sisters, Abigail Palao and Claudia Martinez-Palao (Victor); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 2020 N. Bedell Avenue, Del Rio, Texas.

The recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 6:30 p.m. Services will conclude following the visitation.
