🚨 Knee Update: Progress, Positivity, and Persistence 🚨

First off, thank you to everyone who’s reached out with kind messages—your support means a lot. 🙏

Here’s the latest:

📅 This knee injury has been part of my life since 1994 (thanks to basketball 🏀), but it’s been manageable for years thanks to fitness, a clean diet, and some hard work. That is... until the week before Thanksgiving, when sitting for 12-hour workdays got the best of me. Now? Hello, inflammation. 😩
What am I doing about it?

💊 Supplements I’ve Ordered:
• Turmeric Boost – Packed with curcuminoids, known for anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
• Pain Relief Complex – Targets enzymes that trigger inflammation.
• Vivix – A polyphenol-rich anti-aging supplement with powerful inflammation-fighting properties.

While I wait for these to arrive, I’m staying positive, icing my knee, and slowly working back into movement. 🏋️‍♂️ Even though the timing isn’t ideal (new businesses, big goals, ski season approaching ⛷️), I’m staying focused on what I can control.

💡 Lessons Learned:

1️⃣ Take care of yourself—it’s hard to do great work if your body isn’t cooperating.
2️⃣ Stay adaptable. Life throws curve balls, but persistence pays off.
3️⃣ Positivity is a choice. Even on the hard days, find something to smile about. 😊

I’ll keep you posted on my progress, and if you’re curious about the supplements or dealing with inflammation yourself, feel free to reach out. Let’s tackle these challenges together! 💪

🔥 If you know me, you know I'm passionate about marketing... and let’s be honest, I’m a little unconventional (huge understatement). 😂

Recently, a friend reached out to help me find a job. And while I appreciated it more than words can express, my response was, “I’d rather start something of my own than work for someone else.” 🙃

"Why? Why not just get a job, you weirdo?" 🤔

The truth is, I have ideas. Many, MANY ideas. These ideas consume me—they dominate my focus. I’m an inveterate learner, and when something sparks, I dive in DEEP, spending hours learning, testing, failing, and executing. Without an outlet to channel these ideas, I think I’d go insane. 🧠💥

Now, with the demise of Beachbody, I’m thrilled to have two exciting new opportunities. You’ve probably seen me talk about Shaklee. But today, I want to shine the spotlight on The WellCrafted Workshop.

💥 The WellCrafted Workshop 💥 is a venture with my incredible friends Jimmy Hays Nelson and Dr. Danny Brassell, where we teach people how to master their communication skills and grow their businesses. 🌱📈

And here’s where it gets fun: I’m the Director of Marketing for WellCrafted. Talk about creative freedom! 🎨 I operate with autonomy, infused with feedback from my brilliant partners. There’s nothing I love more than pitching an idea to the team, tweaking it, and then hearing, “Sounds good, go for it!” 🚀

So, why haven’t you seen much about WellCrafted here on Facebook? Simple—we’ve been hanging out more on another platform (think Facebook, but for business). 👔

➡️ Search for The WellCrafted Workshop over there and give us a follow. We’re just 8 followers away from launching one of my many ideas—a 🔥 killer newsletter 🔥 that’ll bring some serious value to your business! Plus, you’ll be helping your old friend Dave. 😉

Don’t worry, we’ll be up and running here soon—it’s all part of the plan. Until then, take a moment and hit that follow button over on the other side. 🙏

Let’s go make some magic happen! 🌟

Change is inevitable. 🔄

Change can be hard. 💪

Some changes are harder than others. 🌧️

Shaving was pretty easy. The beard started as a joke with my son. He came home from The University of Washington with some pretty scratchy facial hair, so I decided to grow mine out to show him what he could look forward to in life. Yes, there were "you can be Santa for Christmas" jokes, but Nicole kinda liked it so I kept it. Now, it's gone. Byeeeee.

Other changes are more difficult. They require careful consideration and much debate and analysis. But, they are inevitable, so don't fight the process. Just go with it and trust your gut. That's exactly what my Grandfather would tell me if he were alive on Earth today. As usual, he would be right and I will follow my trusted advisor's counsel.

Stay tuned.

"Few of the great creators have bland personalities. They are cantankerous egoists, the kind of men who are unwelcome in the modern corporation."

David Ogilvy wrote 𝘊𝘰𝘯𝘧𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘢𝘯 𝘈𝘥𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘔𝘢𝘯 (Confessions) in 1963. It is a roadmap for how to create, manage, and grow an Advertising Agency. However, it was not exclusively written for advertising executives. In large part,, Ogilvy wrote it for prospective clients. He openly admits this in a chapter titled: "How to Be a Good Client", stating: "Backseat driving knocks the stuffing out of good creative men; if you do that, God help you."

Imagine the hubris of a person in a service business writing a book instructing his clients on how to behave. A cantankerous egoist without question.

It was a wild success. Ogilvy and Mather became one of the most successful agencies in the world and Ogilvy is known as "The Father of Advertising" (New York Times).
