✨️ Charlotte E. Ray ✨📜

Meet Charlotte E. Ray—the first Black woman attorney in the United States! Admitted to the D.C. Bar in 1872, she shattered racial and gender barriers by becoming the first African American woman to practice law.

A graduate of Howard University School of Law, Ray specialized in corporate law and was a fierce advocate for justice. Despite the challenges of racial and gender discrimination, she paved the way for generations of Black women in the legal field.
