A Series post- Prenatal Massage

First article relates to Reflexology through out pregnancy. Reflexology is safe for all stages IF DONE BY A WELL TRAINED REFLEXOLOGIST. In the first trimester it is suggested that the “points” related to the glandular system NOT be stimulated. If the pregnancy is normal. I really don’t concentrate on them until late term.

Regular reflexology sessions can be so helpful in calming the more miserable symptoms. Morning sickness, back pain, and many other issues. Reflexology stimulates and calms all areas of the body. You do not want the uterus stimulated in the early stages. But by balancing other areas the whole system is soothed. Moms feel better, have more energy, sleep better, it just improves their over all experience. But you know what? It also benefits baby. A body is being built. A nervous system is developing. A brain is developing. And mom’s reflexology session also helps tune baby’s developing systems.

The overall pregnancy with regular reflexology creates a much better tolerance of body changes. Over decades of experience we have seen so many women through this very special time of life. During the last month I do start working the points relating to the uterus. Mostly just soothing that area. The last two weeks I stimulate the pituitary point. And usually soon after the second session at week 40 labor starts. Most all are fast deliveries of healthy alert babies of good birthweight.

We have had women who could come every week for sessions. Some working women came once a month. But I always suggest weekly sessions for the last six weeks.

Tomorrow I will post Part 2 of this multi-part series.

Great article. If you need help, message me.

Good sleep doesn’t just happen at night. It starts with how the body winds down.

When the nervous system stays in a heightened state, it can be difficult to switch off, even when you’re physically tired. Thoughts keep going, the body feels restless, and sleep can become inconsistent or broken.

Reflexology is a complementary therapy that supports the body’s natural transition into rest. By encouraging relaxation and helping to regulate the nervous system, reflexology may support the body’s ability to recognise and respond to sleep cues more effectively.

Over time, this can help support more consistent sleep patterns, improved rest readiness, and a greater sense of calm in the lead-up to bedtime. Many people also find that regular sessions help them become more aware of their body’s signals - recognising when they need to slow down, rather than pushing through fatigue.

Reflexology does not replace medical care, but it can be a helpful part of a wider approach to improving sleep routines, particularly for those who struggle to fully switch off at the end of the day.

Massage and reflexology are definitely tools for prevention of these.

The symptoms may show up decades later, but the seeds are often planted much earlier.

The silent inflammation.
The unchecked insulin resistance.
The daily choices—small and seemingly insignificant—that quietly shape your destiny.

A heart attack doesn’t begin the day you feel chest pain.
Cognitive decline doesn’t start when you forget someone’s name.
And the aging process isn’t just about wrinkles or aching joints.

It’s about the foods you eat.
The sleep you get.
The stress you carry.
The toxins you’re exposed to.
The movement you choose—or neglect.

But here’s the good news: aging is not a passive process.
It’s a skill. It’s a choice. It’s a science.

And every moment is an opportunity to turn the tide.
Start today.

Your future self is listening.
