Refugee Women's Network
For three incredible days, Refugee Women’s Network partnered with Partnership for Community Action (PCA) to provide LIHEAP assistance to more than 120 clients from diverse communities across Metro Atlanta.
Thank you to everyone who attended and to our dedicated staff and partners who made this event possible. Together, we’re helping families access essential energy assistance while building a stronger, more connected community.
Every family served is a step toward greater stability and hope. 💙

🌿✨ Eight weeks later, we are celebrating the completion of our very first Care to Connect cohort—and what an incredible journey it has been.
Over the past two months, 10 Arabic-speaking women from Syria and Sudan gathered each week at Legacy Park to build community, practice mindfulness, and experience the healing power of nature through horticultural therapy. Together, they planted seeds, shared stories, learned new skills, and cultivated meaningful connections that reduce isolation and strengthen wellbeing.
This milestone is part of our multi-year partnership with Georgia State University Prevention Research Center to address social isolation in refugee and immigrant communities. We are deeply grateful to our partners at Trellis Horticultural Therapy Alliance, Positive Growth, CDC, and Clarkston Community Center for helping make this work possible.
A special thank you goes to Community Health Worker Muna Ali, whose warmth, leadership, and dedication created a space where women felt welcomed, supported, and connected.
🌱 And we’re just getting started.
This summer, we will launch new Dari- and Swahili-speaking groups that combine mindfulness, yoga, and community-building to continue growing connection, resilience, and belonging.
Thank you to everyone who has supported this work. Together, we are proving that healing happens in community. 💛
