Dear Unity Families,


We have reached a significant milestone in our fundraising campaign: we are officially half way to our goal. We have raised approximately $230,000 in cash donations and have another $60,000 transferring as stock donations, bringing our total to $290,000.


In my last update on July 3, announcing the Rooted & Rising Campaign, we had raised $130,000, so we have more than doubled our total in less than two weeks.


If you have wanted to give but held back thinking the school could not reach the goal of $560,000, please reconsider. There's a long way to go, to be sure, but so many have given so much already, proving we can do this together: reach our goal and maintain the quality Christian education of Unity Christian School.


One of our donors has asked that his $10,000 gift serve as an incentive for other alumni over the next two weeks–please consider giving if you have benefitted from the schooling at LSA/Unity or in honor of someone else who has been transformed by the school.


A friend of the school sent a note of encouragement, citing verses from a hymn in the Lutheran Service Book ( #733):


O God, our help in ages past,

Our hope for years to come,

Our shelter from the stormy blast,

And our eternal home:

Be Thou our guard while troubles last

Thank you for your generosity. Thank you for believing in us, even now in this time of difficult reckonings. Through your generosity, we are demonstrating to young people that with God's will and the work of faithful people we can do hard things, impossible things.
