🧠 Minority Mental Health Awareness Month

Mental health is a vital part of our overall health. During Minority Mental Health Awareness Month, the NAACP DeKalb County Branch encourages our community to prioritize emotional wellness, support one another, and help break the stigma surrounding mental health.

✨ Juneteenth Community Celebration Recap ✨

The NAACP DeKalb Branch extends our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who helped make our Juneteenth Community Celebration a tremendous success. This event was more than a celebration—it was a day of empowerment, unity, education, and community fellowship.

Special thanks to our Economic Development Chair George Matlock and Co-Chair Char Ross for their leadership and dedication. We also thank our Branch President Edwina Clanton for her unwavering support and vision.

We are grateful to Pastor Micah Dial, the Rainbow Park Baptist Church family, Sherri Chapman, our Executive Committee members, volunteers, vendors, and community partners whose hard work made this event possible.

A special acknowledgment to our keynote speakers, Frankie Atwater and Nancy Flake Johnson, for sharing powerful messages that inspired and uplifted our community.
