My wife went over the top tonight and made a great supper.
Can wait to dig in. Love her so much!
We are approaching the final stages of our pork production process. We have our cooler installed and final touches are being done on the butchering room. We can't wait to be able to deliver farm fresh pork to our consumers this summer. Stay tuned.

About Property Taxes....
Hypothetically…….. I’m being taxed on money I never made. Let that sink in.
If I bought my property 1989 paid it off in 2013
Now the county says it’s worth $239,000.
Did I sell it? No.
Did I make a profit? No.
Did I get a check for $239,000 ? No.
But my taxes jumped like I did.
That’s the problem.
This isn’t income.
This isn’t cash.
This is a number someone decided on paper — and now I’m being billed for it.
If my stock portfolio doubles, I don’t pay taxes until I sell.
If my income doesn’t increase, I don’t magically owe more income tax.
So why does owning a home work differently?
Why am I being taxed on unrealized gains?
A house isn’t just an investment — it’s where people live. And this system means you can do everything right, pay off your home, and still get squeezed harder every year because of a number you never turned into money.
You don’t truly own something if you can be taxed out of it.
This isn’t about “services” or “inflation.”
It’s about being charged for value you never received.
And people are starting to notice.

We did it! Today (3/12), HB 1424 – legislation that expands what homemade foods can be bought and sold in Indiana, was signed into law by Governor Braun! The bill will go into effect on July 1st of this summer!
HB 1424 will expand homemade food sales in Indiana to allow for the sale of certain meat products, prepared foods – including baked goods, candy, produce, natural sweeteners, and fruit spreads. You can read the full bill text here: https://iga.in.gov/pdf-documents/124/2026/house/bills/HB1424/HB1424.05.ENRS.pdf
It is due to the advocacy, dedication, and enthusiasm of hundreds of home-based food vendors, small farms, and their customers throughout Indiana that we got this bill all the way to the end! All your support helped us to overcome opposition, defy the odds, and, in the end, change the law. Indiana will be a freer state moving forward because of the efforts of Hoosiers who, like you, are passionate about food freedom and willing to fight for it.
The wife went to the Amish store today and bought 11 different kinds of pepper seeds. I guess we're planting lots of peppers this year! 🙉
