June is Internet Safety Month.

The Adams County Sheriff’s Office is proud to support the Indiana ICAC Task Force and the National ICAC Task Force Program in helping families talk about online safety.

Children spend a lot of time online through social media, apps, gaming systems, and messaging platforms. Internet Safety Month is a good reminder for parents and guardians to stay involved, ask questions, and talk with their children about who they are communicating with online.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to start conversations with their children about online safety, including who they talk to, what apps they use, what games they play, and what information they share online.

The ICAC Task Force Program is also offering a free public webinar titled:

“Video Games and Your Child: Spotting Red Flags and Staying Safe Online”

The webinar will be held on Tuesday, June 23, from 2:00 PM to 3:15 PM Eastern Time.
