Today we want to recognize and celebrate Dr. Casa as she begins an exciting new chapter beyond Outlaw Equine and Outlaw Stallion Station.
Throughout her time with us, Dr. Casa has played an important role in both our practice and the growth of Outlaw Stallion Station. She has invested countless hours, unwavering dedication, and tremendous effort into helping build the program into what it is today. Her leadership, work ethic, and commitment have helped establish a strong foundation for continued success, and her contributions will have a lasting impact on our organization.
Over the years, she has been much more than a veterinarian and colleagueâshe has been a valued member of our team and a part of the Outlaw family.
One thing that becomes more apparent with time is that the equine veterinary community is a small one, filled with incredibly hardworking and dedicated people. Some associates spend their entire careers with one practice, while others are called to new opportunities along the way. Neither path diminishes the friendships that are built, the respect that is earned, or the professional relationships that continue long after someone leaves a practice. There is room for all of us in equine veterinary medicine, and we are fortunate to be part of such a close-knit profession.
On a personal note, Dr. Harvey says one of the things heâll miss most is having Dr. Casa by his side during colic surgery. Anyone who has participated in those procedures knows they are like solving a puzzleâeach step revealing the next challenge until the anatomy is restored and the horse is on the road to recovery. Throughout those surgeries, Dr. Casa could always be counted on for her enthusiastic encouragement:
âAttaboy, Harvey! Youâre doing good, Harvey! Good job, Harvey!â
Her unmistakable accent, sense of humor, positive attitude, drive, and passion brought energy to the operating room and to our entire team. Those are things we will genuinely miss.
While we are sad to see her leave Outlaw Equine and Outlaw Stallion Station, we are incredibly grateful for everything she has contributed. We fully support her as she begins this next chapter and have no doubt she will continue to make a positive impact wherever her career takes her.
Dr. Casa, thank you for your dedication, friendship, and the many ways you have helped shape our practice. We wish you continued success, happiness, and fulfillment in both your professional and personal life.
Once youâre part of the Outlaw family, youâll always be part of the Outlaw family. We look forward to remaining friends, colleagues, and supporters for many years to come.
