At The Neighborhood at Priceville, we are always looking for meaningful ways to bring comfort, purpose, and joy to our residents living with dementia. We are so proud of our Grandbaby Project, a program that provides lifelike baby dolls to residents who find comfort in nurturing and caring for them.

The smiles, conversations, gentle hugs, and sense of purpose these babies inspire have been truly remarkable. For many residents, holding and caring for a baby doll can help reduce anxiety, provide emotional comfort, encourage social interaction, and awaken cherished memories of parenthood and caregiving.

Watching our residents light up as they rock, sing to, and care for their “grandbabies” is a beautiful reminder that love, compassion, and the desire to nurture never fade.

Assisted living facility starts doll therapy program Annie Ruth Matthews gingerly reached for the baby doll dressed in a yellow bow and onesie adorned with images of bacon, toast and eggs and began to rock her slowly.

Today was simply delightful! There’s nothing quite like spending time with our furry friends for pet visits—those wagging tails and purring cuddles can truly brighten any day. After soaking up all that pet love, I decided to unwind by getting creative and painting rocks for rock guarding! It’s such a fun and relaxing way to express my artistic side while adding a little more joy to our surroundings. Each rock tells its own story, and I can’t wait to see where they end up. What a perfect way to connect with nature and spread some positivity! 🐾🎨✨
