Rehabilitation case update: 100% clearance 4 months post injury
๐๐ถ๐ฎ๐ด๐ป๐ผ๐๐ถ๐: LH medial ๐จ๐ช๐จ๐ฅ๐๐ฃ๐จ๐ค๐ง๐ฎ ๐๐ง๐๐ฃ๐๐ ๐ฉ๐๐๐ง with moderate synovitis of the tendon sheath. Inflammation of the digital tendon sheath causing impingement of the annular ligament.
Diagnosis obtained on January 26, 2026 via ultrasound. A rehabilitation program was made immediately following diagnosis that consisted of Acuscope treatment 4x a week with the vets hand walking protocol.
๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ต๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ธ appointment on March 11, 2026, roughly ๐ฒ ๐ฌ๐๐๐ ๐จ after initial diagnostics were performed revealed that the medial suspensory branch tear was filling in substantially along with a big reduction in the synovial fluid. The tendon sheath inflammation is also substantially reduced. There was no heat or reluctance in movement that was present during the initial appointment. The owner was cleared to start introducing load bearing exercise (riding) again at a gradual incrementation to begin to strengthen the ligament. The horse at this time was tapered back in treatments resulting in 1 treatment per week until next recheck.
To note, during the first recheck for a tendon or ligament injury the vet is generally checking to ensure the injury has not gotten worse, usually there is NO improvement at all let alone filling of the tear as what was accomplished in this case.
Once the horse was almost to the cantering phase of the rehabilitation program, a second recheck was performed on May 30, 2026 where the vet ๐๐๐% ๐๐ฅ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ the horse to return to all normal exercise and competition.
The total time for 100% clearance on this Suspensory tear rehab was 4 months and likely would have been sooner if the weather had cooperated during her increases in exercise.
Successful cases like this are not possible without complete client compliance and a knowledgeable vet to work alongside with. This case had a large amount of scar tissue on the ligament likely from previous injuries from her past reining career that we had to work through making it more challenging to establish good pathways, but despite some challenges with previous injuries sites and the weather making our ridden work progress take slightly longer this horse recovered wonderfully and I canโt wait to see her back in the show ring!

Bilateral DDFT rehab update ๐๐ผ
This is a bit of a late post, but 5 months after a client received a diagnosis on her main horse of bilateral DDFT tears, he has been cleared ๐
During this rehab we took a minimalist approach and during the first half of rehab the horse received 2 treatments per week, after the first vet recheck was done with positive feedback saying the tears were 50% healed, the horse had to be tapered to 1 treatment per week for the 2nd half of the rehab, then at the 2nd recheck around 5 almost 6 months the vet completely cleared him!
Iโm beyond excited for my client to have her horse healed and even though we took a modified approach, this horses rehab was still completed in half the time. For those that have ever experienced a DDFT tear you know that those type of rehabs can take up to a year, and those rehabs are usually only 1 tear ๐
This is a testament to consistency. My client knew she couldnโt do a super aggressive rehab program but she knew she could be consistent with a different frequency approach for a longer time span to still achieve the desired results. She stayed on top of the horses care, the horse was able to be turned out, she has been riding him, and he is not only healed but still strong. ๐ช๐ผ
My goal is to help clients achieve their goal, this is exactly why I create a minimal, moderate, and aggressive rehabilitation program outlines so each client can choose which fits their budget and timeline!

Equanimity Animal Therapy is now based out of ๐ง๐๐ฟ๐น๐ผ๐ฐ๐ธ, ๐๐ at a professional facility. We are excited to offer our services in this location and the surrounding areas!
๐๐จ๐ฅ๐๐ง๐จ and ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐จ county clients, do not stress, ๐ ๐๐ข ๐จ๐ฉ๐๐ก๐ก ๐ข๐๐ ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐ฌ๐๐๐ ๐ก๐ฎ ๐ข๐ช๐ก๐ฉ๐๐ฅ๐ก๐ ๐๐๐ฎ ๐ฉ๐ง๐๐ฅ๐จ ๐ฉ๐ค ๐ฉ๐๐ ๐๐ง๐๐ to service all of my current clients, but with this change does come a change in availability, so expect to schedule appointments a few weeks in advance if you're not already on a regular rotation.
With this expansion comes some exciting changes, not only will I be taking new clients in the Turlock, CA area, but I can now help service ๐
๐ซ๐๐ฌ๐ง๐จ ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐ญ๐ฒ as well, which I constantly get a lot of requests for. Ideally, for clients wanting acuscope services I would like to have a host facility in the Fresno County area to facilitate people hauling in or leaving their horses for the 3 consecutive days of Acuscope treatment, so I can properly start horses within my program then I can make weekly trips to the area. If you would like to be a host please contact me.
Another amazing feature of this move is I can accommodate taking This facility features an indoor arena, outdoor arena, indoor round pen, outdoor round pen, and hot walker. There are employees on site along with the owner and myself to keep eyes on the horses. In house rehabilitations include treatment 4-5x a week and any veterinary prescribed exercise (hand walking etc) or medications. We can accommodate fully getting your horse back into their previous state of work if needed for an additional cost (since we have to pony then ride them). I will only take a ๐ฅ๐ข๐ฆ๐ข๐ญ๐๐ amount of in house rehabs, so that I can still accommodate all of my mobile clientele.
And ๐๐ฃ๐ค๐ฉ๐๐๐ง ๐๐๐๐ฉ๐ช๐ง๐ is that I will be within 10 minutes of Diamond Bar Arena and also RD Ranch, if there is an event at either of these locations and you would like me to meet you at the event to watch your horse perform and for me to do a manual/visual assessment of them, then please contact me. As long as I am home I can accommodate this. Or if you are a current client and would like treatment after an event held at either of these locations I can come to you or you can haul into our residing facility on your way out.
Services include:
๐Equine Acuscope/Myopulse therapy
๐ถCanine Acuscope/Myopulse therapy
๐Equine massage (CEMT)
๐กIn House Rehabilitation

๐ง๐ต๐ฎ๐ป๐ธ ๐๐ผ๐ to all my clients that have been patient with a lot of changes the last few weeks. It has been a whirlwind and Iโm very lucky and thankful that we were guided to a great facility that will allow Equanimity Animal Therapy to reach more horses and help more people. To say God works in mysterious ways is an understatement. Thank you all for the continued support and I look forward to this new chapter!
