Decatur, we can't thank you enough for showing up for Sister Act the Musical and making it a celebration! 🙏

It's because of the community's support that Theatre 7 is in its 62nd year. Everyone at Theatre 7 – from the actors to musicians to the board of directors – is a volunteer, so our shows are truly a labor of love.

And we're curious – what about this show made you come out and see it? What show would you love to see us do in the future? Drop us a note in the comments or send us a message so we can continue providing high-quality theatre arts for the Decatur area!

Stay tuned for an announcement about our 2026-27 season and learn more about becoming a patron or volunteer at https://www.theatre7.org/.

Today we're shouting out the orchestra for Sister Act - The Musical led by Music Director Patrick Ward!

Part of the magic of live theatre is how the orchestra helps move the plot forward, working in synch with the actors on stage to hit the right timing for a hushed dramatic moment or a burst of laughter.

Best of all is how the sound fills the theatre so the audience can literally feel the bass and be left with chills or joy at all the right moments.

A big thank you to these Decatur area musicians for sharing their talents with Theatre 7:
- Patrick Ward - Music Director, Keyboard
- Lyn Sly - Keyboard
- Jason Waddell - Bass
- Chris Weirman - Drums
- Phillip Tsigolaroff - Trumpet
- Aubree Himanga - Flute
- Jen Himanga - Saxophone

Tickets are available for this weekend's performances through the Decatur Civic Center at https://www.decaturciviccenter.org/events/567/sister-act/ or call 217-422-6161.
