And then there was one. Each year the number of original participants dwindled. Last year we had two. This year the second was unable to join us, but this one made it his mission to attemd and finish. Congratulations, Gabe Owens. Well done!

The sword says it best “7 events, 8 years, 80 challenges, 193 miles (not written but that does not count side hikes!), thousands of feet in elevation change, you completed it all! You are “The Last Scout Standing”!

Race is over. Awards have been handed out. Everyone has headed home. More to come as far as photos, but 2024 was a huge success! Thanks to our nearly 30 staffers (plus Saturday bonus staff) and 62 participants for showing up and partaking in our craziness! It has been one heck of a run and we are so thankful to all past and present who have played a role!

Last Scouts Standing is quickly approaching! Participants should plan on arriving at Camp Buffalo, Sagamore Council (9400 N Boy Scout Rd, Monticello, IN) around 6pm (or after, depending on drive time) on Fri., Oct. 18th.
