The Leg-Up Project was started in response to my (Tabatha Yelos) riding experience over the past 9 years. I recognize that I am privileged to enjoy the benefits of working with horses and what I have gained is not available to so many children in need.

The goal is to raise scholarship money in order to help the families of children with disabilities overcome the financial hurdle of therapeutic horseback riding. Children in need will then be able to enjoy the extraordinary healing experience available to so many others.

The Leg-Up Project is partnered with Stride Ahead, Inc., a 501-C3 non-profit organization dedicated to use horses to empower people in need in DeKalb County and Georgia to achieve their highest potential. They use proven methods to provide transformative learning experiences in personal, social, educational, and physical development.
