In the hustle and bustle of daily life, it's easy to get caught up in the whirlwind of 'fight or flight' mode.

Here are our favorite ways to find balance:
-Chiropractic care allows for the nervous system to function optimally and in a state of ease. While we can't remove external stressors (even though we wish we could), by making sure the body is functioning properly, it allows for better adaptation to any stressors. This removes us from a fight or flight pattern and into a state of ease.

-Deep and intentional breath patterns can activate your parasympathetic nervous system, helping you find your calm amidst the chaos.

-Don't forget the power of the great outdoors. Step outside, soak up the fresh air, and feel your stress melt away. Breathing in fresh air and moving your body is another great natural "tool" to feel more balanced!

-Time management can go a long way. Prioritize tasks, set achievable goals, and create space for relaxation.

What are your favorite ways to feel "unstuck?"

Chemical sunscreens are NOT SAFE!
In fact, they are probably one of the most toxic products we use on a regular basis during the summer months.

Traditional sunscreens work by literally soaking into the skin (epidermis layer). With this method, the toxic ingredients that soak into your skin can also seep into your bloodstream.

In one study released in 2019, 7 toxic ingredients (avobenzone, oxybenzone, octocrylene, ecamsule, homosalate, octisalate, and octinoxate) were found to be absorbed into the bloodstream after just ONE SINGLE DAY of use!

Two of the ingredients— homosalate and oxybenzone — were STILL PRESENT AFTER 21 DAYS!!

Not only are they HORRIBLE for our bodies, these toxic ingredients are destroying ocean life. Once in the bloodstream, they enter our waterways via wastewater & threaten the coral reefs & aquatic life.

Know someone who needs to see this?
TAG THEM! Friends don’t let friends use toxic sunscreens!

If your baby seems uncomfortable, unsettled, or hard to soothe, you’re not imagining it. Birth, even when “normal,” can place stress on a baby’s spine and nervous system.

This can show up as:
Colic
Feeding or latching challenges
Tension or preference to one side
Difficulty settling

Gentle, specific chiropractic care helps support your baby’s nervous system so they can regulate, feed, and grow with more ease.

No pressure. Just answers, and support you can trust. 💚
Dr. Ericka is the only Perinatal Certified Chiropractor in Wise County and North Texas, and she’s here to support you and your baby’s overall wellness.

During pregnancy, your body goes through incredible changes.

As your baby grows, your body adapts to shifting weight, changing hormones, and increased stress on the spine and pelvis. These changes can sometimes lead to pelvic imbalance, tension, and pressure on the muscles and ligaments that support both you and your baby.

When the pelvis isn’t moving and functioning the way it should, it may make it harder for baby to comfortably settle into the ideal position for birth.

Dr. Ericka is Webster Certified through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). The Webster Technique is a specific chiropractic analysis and adjustment that focuses on balancing the pelvis and supporting proper nervous system function during pregnancy.

When the pelvis is balanced and the nervous system is functioning well, it helps create more space for baby and supports optimal positioning — which can contribute to a smoother, safer birth experience.

Have you experienced prenatal chiropractic care during pregnancy? We'd love to hear about your experience or benefits you noticed! 💚
