M&D Mechanical Contractors, Inc.

M & D Mechanical Contractors is proud to partner with the Academy of Craft Training - North Alabama to teach and mentor students across north Alabama into the trade fields. When working at M & D, these students learn welding skills, sheet metal mechanics, pipe fitting skills, & plumbing procedures. When they complete the program, these young adults are ready to enter the work force.

We are proud to have had 3 students sign on with M & D today.

Ethan Brooks & Jesus Gonzalez completed a short internship here with us during this past school year. They will begin work with us and once they complete the required hours for Academy of Craft Training - North Alabama, they will then be onboarded as direct M & D employees.

Owen Woodard joined us for an internship that developed into a co-oping opportunity during his senior year in high school. Owen has worked with M & D while completing his last year of high school which has allowed him to complete his required hours for the Academy of Craft Training - North Alabama and he will be hired as a full time M & D Mechanical employee by the time he graduates in a couple of weeks.

This program allows young men and women to learn skills and be ready for the workforce when they graduate. They have a good steady job waiting for them if they choose to take it. We are happy to help shape the future of the trade field and get these young adults on a steady track.
