Sierra Club Georgia Chapter
07/02/2026
Join the Georgia Chapter and the Sierra Club Military Outdoors for a stupendous day trip on metro Atlanta's best-known natural resource, the Chattahoochee River. This trip will be guided by our friends at Nantahala Outdoor Center (NOC). The float will cover four miles and take about 2.5 hours. We’ll start at the NOC Outpost at Johnson Ferry and will end at the NOC Powers Island outpost. Kayaks and a river will be provided by NOC. Duckies and paddle rafts will be available for our special guests upon request. On Friday, Jul 10, 2026, 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM (Eastern).
This event is for military veterans, active-duty service members, reservists, National Guard members, military families, and civilians who hope to support the staff, volunteers, or clients of the day's partner organization, Veterans Empowerment Organization.
