I truly believe that we need to regroup as a country.....and remember one of the Golden Rules: "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all!" 🧐

Yeah, I get it....it sounds kind of hokey....right, but....honestly have you looked around lately?? Not only the foulness of the language, but people fly off the handle over nothing anymore. 🤯

My business is working in digital marketing....promoting my clients and helping them build their organic presence. And frankly, people have stopped treating each other with any consideration at all.....and then they wonder why their children act out and don't respect them?

I am without a doubt an optimist....so let's use another Golden Oldie.....there is "No time like the present!!" Which means, today is the best day to get started on turning over a new leaf!

Words are more powerful than you can imagine.....they can inspire....they can lift up and they can humiliate and destroy. But, what it....what if we simply used our words....to build everyone up....to share a nice sentiment, give a compliment?

Few lessons in life are more important than to treat each other with respect and kindness. We all know someone who is generally nice, always has a good word to share. They actually listen when you are having a conversation and often put others first. When they pay it forward with a compliment, there is sincerity in the words they speak. Today is not only about saying something nice, it's also a day to do nice things for others.

This day was founded by Mayor Keith Summey of North Charleston, South Carolina on June 1, 2006. This wonderful day recognizes the communication efforts of specialist Dr. Mitch Carnell, author of Say Something Nice: Be a Lifter at Work.
