This July 18 is Nelson Mandela International Day, a day to honor a man who gave 67 years of his life to the fight for justice, equality, and human dignity.

The tradition is simple but powerful: dedicate 67 minutes of your time to serving others, one minute for each year Mandela spent in public service.

That might look like volunteering at a local shelter, mentoring someone, checking in on a neighbor, cleaning up a shared space, or simply giving your time to a cause that matters to you. The act doesn't have to be grand. Mandela's point was that change starts with each of us deciding to do something.

As he reminded us, "What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is what difference we have made to the lives of others."

So this year, let's make those 67 minutes count.
