Funeral service for Dean Hix scheduled for Thursday January 30, 2 p.m., visitation at 1 at AS Turner funeral home N Decatur Rd. He entered eternal rest Wednesday Jan 22.

Just got word Dean Hix suffered a massive stroke yesterday, is not expected to live the week, He’s at Piedmont Athens with Glenda, Wanda, Becky & Drayton at his side. Please keep him & his family in prayer. Dean & Glenda moved from Decatur to Jackson GA a couple years ago & last year move to an assisted living in Athens.

Dean Hix & Carson Rogers in the Light House, as the yellow house became known in late 70's & 80's, the youth gathering place.
