Nurturing new space.

I've been spending a lot of time in the garden and creating new garden spaces. It's exhausting, intimidating in size and honestly, I think it's more work than I thought but I just keep going. Repairing rock walls, dodging snakes, ripping out invasive plants and replacing with new native pollinators. We have two resident hawks in this urban oasis, they watch intensely as the shovel hits the ground. All the other birds are waiting too as the earth is loosened just enough to glean worms. One section at a time is all I can do and control. In life it is the same.
All this time to think and work in a meditative state has reinforced my decision to dive deeper into the slow process of perfumery. I'm not mass producing, plants are at the forefront of how I start my formulations. And as a new project is in the works, I'm not feeling the sense of urgency like the industry tends to make you feel. I stand by the "it's ready when it's ready" and continue to nurture the creative process.
Thank you everyone for enjoying Bohemian Hwy, it has certainly sparked some wanderlust in a few of you and love hearing that.
