FOOD 2 LIFE - Rescue Food Foundation
FOOD 2 LIFE - Rescue Food Foundation would like to sincerely thank everyone who participated in todayβs Sunday Grocery Store at our new location behind Husky Restaurant.
We understand that an outdoor food pantry on Sunday after church may not be the most convenient arrangement. However, it was far better than the alternative of cancelling future events altogether.
For the past six years, since our first Sunday Grocery Store in 2020, many families in the East Lake/Kirkwood community have grown accustomed to receiving fresh produce, breads, meats, and other food items from Food2Life Foundation each week. We could not simply stop serving the community without explanation or cause.
Our mission is rooted in faith and service. Scripture reminds us that we are called to care for those in need.
More specifically, James argues that faith without works is dead (James 2:15-16). The apostle John wrote that if anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, the love of God cannot be in that person (1 John 3:17-18). The Bible provides a lot of scriptures of how we should live to help others that are in need.
As long as it remains feasible, Food2Life Foundation will continue working diligently to serve underserved families in East Lake, Kirkwood, and surrounding communities facing food insecurity.
No matter where Food2Life Foundation operates, we will continue striving to be a blessing to the community, leading by example through this humanitarian outreach ministry the Lord has entrusted to us.
Thank you again for your continued support, patience, and participation.
Sincerely,
